GREAT ASH
(Fraxinus excelsior)
(perimeter:513cm, height:41m)
Vertical shows a huge ash - one of the most outstanding trees of
the BNP. The tree has a beautiful trunk's pillar with the height
of 22 meters. It also has a record in trunk's perimeter, the trunk's
height and the total height for this BNP species. The crown is not too
big, but its boughs are soaring high, and because of them the tree reached
a very big height. The trunk's placement in the ground is very spectacular.
You can easily say, it is one of the biggest ashes in Poland, and from those
known to me - only one could compete with it- the ash growing in Wetlina
of Bieszczady.
